| A late 18th Century English verge in gilt and enamel pair cases depicting Britannia. Full plate fire gilt movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved cock, silver regulator disc. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Plain three arm steel balance,
blue steel spiral hairspring. White enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, gilt hands. Engraved gilt metal outer case, the back decorated with a circular centre section of translucent red enamel over an engine turned ground surrounded by a row of white enamel dots. Within this a navette shaped polychrome enamel cartouche depicting Britannia. Plain silver gilt inner case.
