Index No. A7512 Gilt Skeletonised Verge with Seconds Dial
A late 18th Century skeletonised English verge with subsidiary seconds on a paste set gilt metal case.  Skeletonised fire gilt movement, pierced and engraved plate to reveal the train, round pillars.  Pierced and engraved cock, the silver regulator disc at the edge of the table. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates, the barrel cover pierced to reveal the blue steel mainspring. Plain six arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Winding through the fully restored signed white enamel dial. Small  subsidiary seconds, Roman and Arabic numerals, blue steel hands.  Engraved double sided gilt metal case, the bezels set with red pastes
