Index No. A7526 Gold Rack Lever
An early 19th Century English rack lever with dust cover signed for the owner in a gold open face case.  Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement.  Harrison's maintaining power.  Unusual gilt dust cover forming the cuvette of the case engraved "Mary Wedge, Acqualate Park, 1812" for the first owner of the watch.  Engraved masked cock, diamond endstone.  Polished steel Bosley regulator, plain three arm steel balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Rack lever escapement with large 30 tooth escape wheel, lever pivots in adjustable slides.  Gold dial, engine turned centre, applied gold Roman numerals, gold hands.   Faded engine turned 18 carat open face case with ribbed middle, rope pendant and bow.  Maker's mark "LC"
