Index No. A7529 Gold Massey II Lever
A 19th Century English Massey type two lever with Liverpool jewelling in a gold full hunter case.  Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement, gilt dust cover pierced to reveal the table of the cock and blue and polished steel barrel setup work.  Harrison's maintaining power. Chased and engraved barrel bridge and  cock marked "patent" on the foot, diamond endstone.  Polished steel regulator, silver sector index on the plate.  Plain three arm gold balance, deep rim with three timing screws, blue steel spiral hairspring. Screwed in jewelling, including the fusee arbor in a blue steel setting.   Massey type two lever escapement.  Engine turned silver dial with engraved centre, subsidiary seconds, applied gold Roman numerals, gilt hands.  American made plain 18 carat full hunter case with engraved oval pendant, vacant shield shaped cartouch on the front cover.  Lateral steel stop lever under the glazed bezel.  Very faded engine turned middle, coin edged bezels, 18 carat mark and number corresponding to that on the movement.
