A late 19th Century English lever with power reserve indication in a gold half hunter case.  Gilt half plate keywind movement with fusee and chain. Harrison's maintaining power. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, diamond endstone. Compensation balance employing quarter timing nuts, blue steel overcoil hairspring. Screwed in jewelling, escape, lever and seconds pivots with endstones.  English table roller lever escapement.  Signed and numbered white enamel dial with subsidiaries for power reserve and seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Substantial plain 18 carat half hunter case with blue enamel chapter ring.   Maker's mark "G.A.P" in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement preceded by "CF".
