Index No. A7402 Gold Consular Cased Cylinder
An early 19th Century cylinder with gold dial in a gold consular case. Full plate fusee movement hinging from the case at nine o'clock.  Pierced and engraved round cock, diamond endstone in a blue steel setting, gilt regulator on top plate below the plain three arm steel balance.  Polished steel cylinder, large brass escape wheel.   Gold dial, decorative turned centre, applied gold Arabic numerals on a matted ground, edge, gold serpentine hour hand, later gilt minute hand.  Engine turned 18 carat consular case, decorative bezel to the back, ribbed middle, oval bow and  pendant with a button to open the back.  Maker's mark "IR" and additionally "IMC" and "S", number corresponding to that on the movement.
