Index No. A7603 Gold Pair Cased Verge by McCabe
A late 18th Century English verge by McCabe in gold pair cases.  Full plate fire gilt movement with gilt dust cover pierced to reveal the cock and silver regulator disc.  Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates.  Pierced and engraved masked cock with diamond endstone.  Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Convex white enamel dial with radially set Arabic numerals, gold arrow hands. Matching gold pair cases, probably 22 carat, the outer decoratively engraved with a large vacant oval cartouch on the back.  Gold pendant and bow, number corresponding to that on the movement and maker's mark "IC".
