Index No. A7632 Gold Hunter Duplex by McCabe
A fine early 19th Century English duplex by McCabe in a gold full hunter case.  Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement with dust cover.  Harrison's maintaining power. Engraved cock with diamond endstone, polished steel regulator, plain flat three arm polished  steel balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Duplex escapement, brass escape wheel, pivots with endstones. Signed and numbered white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gold hands. Large plain 18 carat full hunter case, gold oval pendant and bow.  Both lids share the same hinge and each has a flyspring.  The button in the pendant is split and opens the covers independently.   Maker's mark "RP" in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement.
