wheel at its edge. Plain steel balance with one arm cut to clear the winding square, silver regulator disc. Hour striking on a bell in the case, silver count wheel, decorative pierced blue steel gates. Pierced and engraved resting barrel revealing the blue steel mainspring. Signed silver champleve dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, blue steel tulip and poker hands. Silver inner case pieced and engraved around the edge in a foliate pattern and representations of birds and squirrels. Unusually decoratively engraved in the
centre with scene of two cherubs and an eagle above. Brass outer pierced with silver rings, silver bezels and square hinge, The back finely decorated with inlaid silver wire work depicting a village and church with a spire.
