enamel dial with Arabic numerals, the twelve marked in red, blue steel hands. This appears to be the dial in a clock tower depicted in the polychrome enamel alpine lakeside scene which forms the front of the brooch. Ornate rectangular gold setting representing a picture frame with gold clip fro the brooch. Gilt cover to the movement with apertures for wind and set in a bone mount backing the enamel plaque.
