Circa 1780
Diameter 60 mm
A fine watch by this eminent maker.  Daniel De St. Leu - 1753 -97, Watchmaker to the Queen 1765.  He made many watches for Eastern market in the late 18th Century.  See the Camerer Cuss Book of Antique Watches page 140 for a similar clockwatch bearing the number 10127.  The London hallmarks appear to be later, perhaps because the case was not assayed when made.  The casemaker is John Penny, 14 Princess Street, Barbican - 1777.
