| An unusual layout for an Earnshaw spring detent chronometer. It appears to have been "modernised" in the late 19th Century by James Ritchie who has removed the original makers name from the plate and made a new dial. He also changed the pendant , engraved the back cover and removed a hack feature. He may have taken this watch in exchange for a new one and decided to sell it again under his own name. It is possible that it was made by Robert Pennington. |
