| A fine late 17th Century English calendar verge with silver champleve dial in silver pair cases. Deep full plate fire gilt movement with Egyptian pillars. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Pierced and engraved winged cock with two small masks on the table,
broad pierced and engraved foot. Plain steel balance, silver regulator disc. Signed silver champleve dial with Roman and Arabic numerals. Small square aperture blow the centre to reveal the gilt date ring, blue steel tulip and poker hands. Matching silver pair cases, silver pendant and bow. The inner case with a hole beside the winding aperture which would have been fitted at some time with a rotating shutter. Unusually the case is marked beside
the pendant with the number "1728". Plain outer case with seven joint hinge, maker's mark "W.I".
