Index No. A7031 Rare Masonic Dial Centre Seconds Fusee Lever
A late 19th Century English centre seconds with very rare white on black Masonic dial in a silver open face case.  Gilt three quarter plate keywind movement with polished steel screws.  Fusee and chain, Harrison's maintaining power. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. English table roller lever escapement. Very rare  white on black  enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman numerals, silvered hands. The centre of the dial very well painted with Masonic motifs below which is written "AD 1900 - John W Bowen Warrington".  Either side of the numeral six and 150 are markings in the black only visible with a glass. These were either not finished or meant to be secret.  Substantial plain silver open face case with gold hinges and stop slide, vacant shield shaped cartouche on the back cover.  Wound and set through the silver cuvette, maker's mark "IJTN" in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement.
