Roman and Arabic numerals, gilt hands. Engine turned 18 carat open face case, the back decorated with black enamel. Fine and unusual chatelaine and watch holder in 18th Century style. Silver and silver gilt chatelaine with three graduated oval scenes en grisaille with gilt highlights painted on the reverse of the glass which is curved at the edges. The matching scenes depict a young woman and two cherubs and are framed by engraved gold borders.
Stone set pierced silver surrounds and chains, one with a key to wind and set the watch, the other with a matching gilt seal. The hinged watch holder has a similar circular scene on the back with engraved gold border and pierced stone set surround. Silver gilt hinged clip. Fitted velvet lined rectangular case.
