Anonymous Swiss
Circa 1920
Diameter 49 mm
The quality of the movement suggests the watch may have been made by the firm of Hass Neveux.  The watch would probably have been gift from His Highness the Maharaja of Patiala, Sir Bhupinda Singh (1881 - 1938).  The enamel on the watch is based on a portrait of the Maharaja by Vandyke painted in 1911 which is in the National Portrait Gallery in London.  It is featured on the back cover of Maharaja's Jewels by Katherine Prior and John Adamson.
