| A fine late 18th Century English half quarter repeating cylinder in gold pair cases. Full plate fire gilt movement with signed and numbered gilt dust cover pierced to reveal the diamond endstone and silver regulator disc. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates.
Pierced and engraved cock, diamond endstone in blue steel setting, five turned pillars. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, large brass escape wheel, pivots with endstones. Push pendant half quarter repeating on a bell in the back of the case, Stogden type repeating work. "IR". Pierced and engraved inner case with geometric decoration to the back, gold push pendant and bow, polished steel pulse piece. Fine engraved gold outer case, the bezels pierced with a row of holes in the decoration, navette shaped cartouch on the back engraved with a monogram below a lions's head. Dust proof front bezel with secret hinge opened by a flypring.
