Index No. A6608 Fine Gold Freesprung Lever by Frodsham
A fine mid 19th Century English reverse fusee lever with power reserve indication and freesprung balance in a gold open face case.  Gilt half plate keywind movement with reverse fusee and chain. Harrison's maintaining power.  Plain cock with diamond endstone, compensation balance with freesprung blue steel overcoil hairspring. Screwed in jewelling to the fusee, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Unusual English double roller lever escapement, the impulse jewel wider than standard. Signed and numbered white enamel dial, subsidiaries for power reserve and  seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands.  Faded engine turned 18 carat open face case with ribbed middle, small central section with engraved monogram.  Maker's marks "CF" in a rectangle and "RR" in an oval.
