Index No. A6626 Gold and Enamel Quarter Repeating Verge
A small late 18th Century dumb quarter repeating French verge in a gold and enamel consular case.  Full plate gilt fusee movement.  Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Silver regulator dial with polished steel indicator.  Push pendant quarter repeating on two gold blocks in the case.   Wound through the purpose made engine turned gold dial, applied gold Arabic numerals.  Decorative diamante set pierced white metal hands.  Gold consular case, the engine turned back covered with light transparent blue enamel.  At the centre of the back a geometric pattern of clar and red pastes.  The matted gold bezels decorated with green and red enamel, the front bezel with a row of clear pastes.
