dial with centre seconds, Roman and Arabic numerals, later blue steel seconds hand, gilt beetle and poker hands. Gilt metal pair cases, plain inner, maker's mark "WC". Outer case with engraved gilt bezels, the front set with a row of green paste stones alternating with split pearls. The back set with a finely painted polychrome enamel scene depicting a woman and two young children.
