| A late 17th Century English verge clockwatch in a leather covered gilt metal consular case. Deep full plate fire gilt movement with two tulip and three turned baluster pillars. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Pierced and engraved winged cock with pierced and
engraved foot, the fusee square set within the rim of the plain steel balance. Silver regulator disc. Hour striking and repeat by depressing the pendant with a single hammer on a bell in the case, pierced and engraved barrel to the striking train. Later fully restored white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, gold beetle and poker hands. Deep engraved border to the gilt dial plate. Gilt metal consular case, later covered in black leather,
the back pierced by 10 gilt rings to allow the bell to sound clearly.
