| A late 17th Century English verge with rare form of six hour silver champleve dial in silvered metal pair cases. Deep full plate fire gilt movement, Egyptian pillars with pierced galleries above. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Pierced and engraved cock with
pierced and engraved foot. Plain steel balance, silver regulator disc. Rare silver champleve dial, the single blue steel hand rotating four times a day. It indicates the minutes at the tip on the minute chapter marked with a division every two minutes, the numerals "20", "40" and "60" repeated six times. The hours shown at its base with a small chapter of Roman numerals. Small apertures show the day of the
week and the month, seconds subsidiary with blue steel seconds hand. The dial decorated in high relief with flags, cannons, trumpets and other military motifs, the number "181 - 229" between the two apertures. Winding square protrudes through the dial, the blue steel hand shaped to pass over it. Later purpose made silvered metal pair cases, small hole in the inner aligning with the fusee arbor.
