| A rare mid 18th Century English agate watch in gold settings with matching chatelaine. Full plate fire gilt movement with square baluster pillars. Pierced and engraved masked cock, pierced and engraved foot and plate for the silver regulator disc. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup
between the plates. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Cylinder escapement converted from verge. White enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, blue steel beetle and poker hands. Rare consular case formed from two solid pieces of polished agate set in gold bezels. The glass retained by the gold front bezel set with a row of faceted polished steel "stones". Gold pendant set with a similar larger
"stone". Decorative polished steel case spring secured by a hollow rivet which is also the winding aperture protected by a gold circular shutter. Fine matching gold chatelaine, its links decorated with small oval agate stones and large faceted polished steel "stones". The last of the agate stones carved to represent a face. Four swivel hooks with safety screws and another to secure the watch.
