Index No. A6409 Unusual Gold English Lever
An early 19th Century English lever with unusual balance in a gold open face case.  Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement with dust cover stamped "RE", Harrison's maintaining power.  Plain cock inscribed "Patent" on the foot, diamond endstone.  Polished steel regulator, silver sector index.  Unusual compensation balance with blue steel arms supporting brass affixes which limit the movement of the arms.  Blue steel spiral hairspring.  English table roller lever escapement.  Gold engine turned dial with subsidiary seconds, applied gold Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gold hands.  Large 18 carat gold open face case, rubbed engine turned back, ribbed middle. Gold bow, maker's mark "EH"
