| A mid 18th Century quarter repeating cylinder in gold and enamel pair cases. Full plate fire gilt movement with round pillars, the dust cover now lacking. Pierced and engraved cock with diamond endstone. Pierced and engraved foot and plate for the silver regulator disc. Fusee and
chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Push pendant quarter repeating on a bell in the back of the case. White enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, later pierced gilt hands. Gold inner case decorated with floral engraving, pierced with three rows of rectangular slits to allow the bell to sound clearly. Gold push pendant and bow. The outer case made in a
similar fashion to an enamel box of the period with two hinged gold bezels in which are set enamels decorated on both sides. One bezel with a row of triangular piercings. The back with a finely painted scene of a couple in a garden surrounded by three cupids within a rococo frame. Inside the back a simpler painting of a cottage. The front bezel decorated with polychrome flowers, its inner surface enamelled but not decorated.
