Plain cock, compensation balance with freesprung blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement. Screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Signed and numbered white enamel dial
bearing the broad ministry arrow, subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, gold hands. Substantial plain silver open face case with extended hand set, gold hinge and gilt winding button. The front bezel without a rim to take a glass. The back cover engraved "H.S.2 NM". Maker's mark "PW" and number corresponding to that on the movement. Two piece mahogany deck box with glazed circular aperture in the top. Secured in a brass drum by a glazed brass screw bezel with the crown by the box latch.
