Index No. A6247 Eight Day Goliath Repeater in Travelling Case
A very large late 19th Century Swiss quarter repeating lever in a nickle open face case in a fitted travelling case.   Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Push button quarter repeating on two steel gongs. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Substantial large plain open face nickle case.  The gilt winding crown is depressed to operate the repeat.  In a rectangular brown travelling case lined with dark blue velvet.  Aperture to reveal the dial and button at the top to allow the repeat to be sounded without opening the case..
