Index No. A6230 Silver and Gold French Verge
An early 19th Century French verge in a fine silver and gold engine turned case.  Full plate gilt fusee movement.  Unusual open engraved bridge cock with polished steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator.  Winding through the white enamel dial, gilt signature and five minute markings, Arabic numerals, blue steel Breguet hands. Attractive silver open face case with ribbed middle, the back engine turned in a pattern radiating from an oval cartouche engraved with a monogram. Gold bezels, pendant and bow.  Signed gilt metal cuvette.
