Index No. A6212 Gold Half Hunter by Benson in Original Box
A late 19th Century English lever by Benson in a gold half hunter case and fitted signed presentation box.  Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel.  Plain cock with polished steel regulator, diamond endstone.  Compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement.  Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands.  Plain 18 carat half hunter case with blue enamel chapter ring. , maker's mark "JWB" in an oval.  The back with a large engraved emblem marked "C Troop - West Kent Q.O. Yeomanry Cavalry".  The gold cuvette engraved with a presentation to Quartermaster George Arnold for 21 years service in May 1897.  In original signed red morocco presentation box lined with dark blue velvet.
