| A rare and unusual mid 18th Century German strike repeat and alarm verge coachwatch in a mother of pearl decorated silver case. Deep full plate gilt fusee movement, five pentagonal baluster pillars. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Pierced and engraved
bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Large plain silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator. Hour striking clockwatch, a single polished steel hammer striking on a large bell in the case. The train can be release at will by pulling the short chain. Alarm mechanism also with a single polished steel hammer striking the bell. Striking and alarm trains with engraved resting barrels.
Wound through the fully restored signed white enamel dial, Roman and Arabic numerals. Pierced blue steel alarm hand, gold hands. Broad engraved gilt border supporting the dial. Unusual silver case, the back and bezel covered with small triangular sections of mother of pearl giving a pleasing effect. Around the bezel and edge of the back are pierced engraved diamond silver pieces to allow the bell to sound clearly.
