White enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, blue steel beetle and poker hands. 22 carat gold pair cases, the inner with maker's mark "IW", decorative gold pendant and bow, circular shutter to the winding aperture. Very fine and rare gold repousse outer case depicting several figures surrounding an ox, apparently being presented to a queen. Three of the principal figures are partly formed
from separate applied sections of freestanding chased and engraved gold giving great depth to the scene. Protective third case of gilt metal covered in shagreen with a glazed back.
