Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. White enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, blue steel beetle and poker hands.  22 carat gold pair cases, the inner with maker's mark "IW", decorative gold pendant and bow, circular shutter to the winding aperture.  Very fine and rare gold repousse outer case depicting several figures surrounding an ox, apparently being presented to a queen.  Three of the principal figures are partly formed from separate applied sections of freestanding chased and engraved gold giving great depth to the scene.  Protective third case of gilt metal covered in shagreen with a glazed back.

CaseExcellent.
DialExcellent. Diameter 49 mm
MovementExcellent.
This is one of the finest and most skilfully executed repousse cases we have seen.  The freestanding sections are subtly integrated into the main body of the case, the joins being difficult to discern.  The fine detail of the engraving has been preserved by the protective glazed outer and shows no signs of wear.
