Index No. A6031 Rare Silver Centre Seconds Rack Lever
A rare early 19th Century English centre seconds rack lever in a later silver case.  Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement.  Harrison's maintaining power. Chased and engraved bell shaped cock marked "patent" on the foot, garnet endstone.  Plain three arm steel balance with blue steel spiral hairspring, blue steel Bosley regulator.  Rack lever escapement with 30 tooth escape wheel.  Off  white enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand,  gilt hands.  Purpose made plain silver open face case hallmarked Chester 1850, maker's mark "HF".
