| A large late 17th Century English silver pair cased calendar verge and lacquered stand in the form of a clock. Deep full plate fire gilt movement with Egyptian pillars. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Pierced and engraved cock with mask and two birds above,
pierced and engraved foot and plate for the silver regulator disc. Plain three arm steel balance. Signed silver champleve dial with a small circular aperture above the six for the date calendar. Roman and Arabic numerals, gilt beetle and poker hands. Silver pair cases, split bezel on the inner. At the base of the outer a small ring, perhaps to attach a chain. The watch is housed in a wooden night stand in the form of a bracket clock of the period.
The case is decorated in Chinese style gilt laquer work and surmounted by three brass finials. The arched pierced gilt mask around the dial of the watch echoing the brass dial of the full size original.
