Index No. A5808 Gold Lever Flyback Chronograph
A late 19th Century Swiss centre seconds flyback chronograph in a gold open face case.  High quality keyless nickelled bar movement with going barrel. Frosted steel wolfs teeth winding wheels and flyback centre seconds chronograph work.  Red gold train wheels.  Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, escape and lever pivots with endstones in polished steel settings.  Signed white enamel dial with centre seconds chronograph, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Substantial 18 carat open face case with glazed cuvette, gold lock slide for the crown to avoid accidental use of the chronograph.  The back richly engraved with a decorative heraldic shield, mediaeval helmet and bird of prey.  Engrave around the edge the owners name and the motto "Coelum Quid Quaerimus Ultra".
