foot lever escapement. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, gilt hands with blue steel centres and tips. The plain 18 carat open face case with clip on back. Central robust metal hand indicating the time by rotating clockwise until stopped by the mechanism and reading against the gold bosses at the edge. Maker's mark "HAR" in an oval.
