English table roller lever escapement. Unusual white enamel ring dial with subsidiary seconds, the hours marked from one to six in Roman numerals. Dark blue enamel centre with a single gilt hand engraved with the sun at its centre indicating the hour. Open the sprung back cover by depressing a button in the pendant reveals the white enamelled cuvette marked for the minutes. Through the aperture in the centre the short blue steel minute
hand travelling anti-clockwise above a white enamel disc. Plain silver open face case, the back engraved with a heraldic shield above the small engraved name "J H Warre 1866", maker's mark "DL" in a rectangle.
