A 19th Century English keyless reverse fusee freesprung lever with power reserve in a gold half hunter case. Gilt half plate keyless movement with fusee and chain. Harrison's maintaining power. Engraved cock with diamond endstone. Compensation balance with quarter timing nuts, freesprung blue steel overcoil hairspring. English double roller lever escapement. Screwed in jewelling The escape wheel and lever under a bridge, their pivots with endstones. Numbered white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel half hunter hands. Substantial plain 18 carat half hunter case with blue enamel chapter ring, two flysprings to the front cover. Winding and set apertures to the gold cuvette which is engraved with a monogram. The hand set detent is engaged by the front cover to stop the watch being wound when it is closed. Maker's mark "PW" in an oval and number corresponding to that on the movement.
