Index No. A5510 Gold English Lever with up/down
A 19th Century English fusee lever with power reserve indication in a gold open face case. Gilt three quarter plate keywind movement with fusee and chain. Harrison's maintaining power. Engraved cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. English double roller lever escapement, escape and lever pivots with endstones. White enamel dial with subsidiaries for seconds and power reserve, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Plain 18 carat open face case, wound and set through the gold cuvette engraved with the inscription; "Presented to D Dyer Brown MAMD by the patients of the homeopathic dispensary Aberdeen and a few friends as a token of their esteem on his leaving for London 24th November 1876". Maker's mark "J.W." in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement.
