hairspring. Rare form of lever escapement, gold 14 tooth escape wheel with long teeth divided at the tips. The lever with notched pallets, small semi-circle at one end for double pin impulse and a third pin which engages in a safety groove situated below the balance. This brass safety groove mounted on the balance staff is large in diameter, with an opening let into it to allow the pin to enter and exit. Push pendant quarter repeating on two steel gongs. White
