George Tyler, London (Popes Head Alley, Lombard Street) - apprenticed 1692, free of the Clockmakers Company 1699 - 1723. The representation of the crown on the pillars strongly suggest a Royal connection. As the watch dates from about 1700 it is probable that this is Queen Anne who came to the throne in 1702. It may have been given to her, or from her in commemoration of the coronation.
