A fine late 18th Century English duplex with unusual cock in a gold consular case. Full plate fire gilt movement with signed and numbered dust cover. Harrison's maintaining power. Unusual pierced and engraved cock with a heraldic shield and motto "Force et Vertu" engraved on the table, raised diamond endstone. Silver regulator disc. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Winding through the fine white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, gold hands. Engine turned 18 carat consular case, decoratively turned bezels, gold oval pendant and bow, maker's mark "PD"
