A fine 19th Century English freesprung fusee lever in a gold open face case. Spotted half plate keywind movement with fusee and chain. Harrison's maintaining power. Spotted cock with diamond endstone, compensation balance with freesprung blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement, screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Signed three piece white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Substantial plain 18 carat open face case, maker's mark "HCD" in an oval. Number corresponding to that on the movement.
