An attractive watch. With the introduction of the balance spring most watches were fitted with a minute hand as they were more accurate timekeepers. The mock pendulum feature was not only decorative but gave the owner the impression of good timekeeping by association with the pendulum used on clocks. This had recently revolutionised the rate they were able to achieve.
