Index No. A5211 Silver Lever for the Chinese Market
A large mid 19th Century Swiss centre seconds lever for the Chinese market in a silver open face case. Keywind gilt bar movement with richly engraved plate, bridges and suspended going barrel, polished steel regulator, blue steel stop work and screws. Polished steel three arm balance with three blue steel affixes, spiral hairspring. Club foot lever escapement with long decorative polished steel lever. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, centre seconds, blue steel hands. Plain silver open face case, wound and set through the glazed sprung cuvette, silver oval pendant and bow. Maker's mark "PM" in an oval and large Chinese signature matching that on the movement.

The makers mark "PM" on the case probably indicates the maker to be Piguet et Meylan.
