A late 19th Century English lever in a gold and enamel half hunter case. Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. English table roller lever escapement, escape pivots with endstones. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Unusual 18 carat half hunter case, the movement hinging out of the solid body. On the back a polychrome enamel scene of a couple in a garden. The sprung front cover with blue enamel chapter ring. Maker's mark "JR" in an diamond. In a lined fitted presentation case.
