Index No. A5227 Silver Verge with Automaton Windmill
An early 19th Century English verge with polychrome enamel dial of an automated windmill in silver pair cases. Full plate fusee movement with gilt dust cover. Pierced and engraved round cock, gilt regulator on top plate below the plain three arm steel balance. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, gilt hands. In the centre a polychrome enamel scene of a village, the gilt vanes of a windmill rotating as the watch runs. Matching silver pair cases, silver oval pendant and bow, maker's mark "HH".
