In remarkably fine original condition.  The balance cock has not been altered to accommodate a balance spring or secured by a screw.  The train pivots have not been "improved" by providing oil sinks.  Although not signed the watch is probably of French origin, a space seems to have been left on the plate for a signature but not engraved at the time.  See "Watches" by Clutton & Daniels, illustration 63 fro a similar watch with rose engraving on the plate signed "R Chappele".
