An early 20th Century American lever in a gold open face case. Nickelled split three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel micrometer regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, escape and lever pivots with endstones in gold settings. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, bold Arabic numerals, blue steel hands. Plain 14 carat open face case, a monogram in the shape of a diamond on the back cover, maker's mark "Waltham".
