Index No. A4920 Gilt American Lever with Unusual Dial
A 20th Century American 21 jewel lever in a gold filled open face case. Nickelled split three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel micrometer regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Unusual signed white enamel dial, the hours marked on a small central chapter and the minutes at the edge, each minute being numbered with the five minute markings in red. Subsidiary seconds, blue steel Breguet hands. Plain gold filled open face case with screw on back and bezel, the time set by lifting a lever under the front bezel.
