Index No. A4929 Gold and Enamel English Watch
A late 18th Century English gold and enamel consular cased watch. Full plate fire gilt movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved cock, silver regulator disc. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Well converted to English table roller lever escapement. Winding through the white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, later gilt hands. Fine gold and enamel consular case. The bezels of white enamel with translucent red enamel dots. The back of translucent purple enamel over an engine turned ground framing a fully restored oval portrait of a young lady.
